Ridiculous

A friend from grad school posted this link (click on the title) on facebook.  I thought it was hilarious (and more than a little disturbing...though maybe just a TAD appealing too) and that you all needed to know about it.

I especially love the commentary the post's author includes about this particular cutting board.  Enjoy!

long lost sister

i miss you locos. remember last year when i was in omaha and everybody came over to my sister's house? yeah, that was great. it was a year ago.

i've been listening to the avett bros. album a lot. and mumford and sons. and florence & the machine. and amos lee.

violet and i went on a little date on saturday night (because everyone else wasn't feeling well). i bought the pioneer woman's cookbook and am loving it. i can't wait to make the "cowboy calzone" and this "sangria" recipe (about which she emphatically writes: "I love making sangria for any get-together involving females, but only if designated drivers are on the scene. The delicious fruit can really mask the "flammability" of this drink!). ha! maybe for the next retreat?

have you seen this slideshow? i want to visit.

i'm sipping coffee, the youngest kids are coloring, belle is sick on the couch, and the pup is locked in her "room". i hope to finish some quilts today. and clean my room. and make rice w/ sriracha. and run 3 miles when jay gets home. and go to bible study and be reminded of my focus. i'm rambling.

remembering the feel of reuniting with long-time friends...hugs and smiles and warmth. i love you, friends. i stand on your shoulders every morning when i wake up. xo.

Brekkie

The Whocarsians have been strangely quiet of late.
Anyone up for a little spring catch-up over
some coffee and breakfast fare?
Perhaps Wednesday or Thursday of next week?
Any takers?

i'm pacing

i could be doing a lot. instead i'm snacking on wasabi peas (the burn! the burn!) and working on some editing while the kids are learning a lot of lessons from handy manny. but really, i'm pacing around my room, crunching, and waiting to hear news of corrie's c-section progress. a new nephew! thrilling. babies are so precious. what a gift! praying for you, corrie!!
