grudging admiration

as much as i hate to admit it, gwyneth paltrow has a damn good recipe for peanut butter cookies. ben loves to make them, so we've gone through a fair number of recipes. hers are the best. i've nurtured a long simmering loathing for the gwynethness of gwyneth, so when i saw her new cookbook, i wondered if anything was safe. you know, if country music doesn't work out, publish a cookbook! and if that doesn't pan out, run for public office or something! but the cookies, as it happens, do indeed pan out. i just bet two million dollars gwyneth has never eaten one.
