pass the old times

there's this neil young song that i like to sing, "falling off the face of the earth". the words are simple, but the sentiment + music + harmonies get it right. the lines i'm thinking about are these:

i like that song because it speaks a conversation i wish i could have with you, my dear friends. of course i would be the one talking and you would have to sit there listening to my monologue (look up the lyrics for yourself). i'm always thinking about departure. can't seem to shake it from the corners of my memory, but there are some that come more easily than others.

perhaps she's already mentioned it, but let me make mention now that my 10-minute-away, long-time-pal & harmonizing junkie doctor will be heading to the land of 10,000 lakes for long-term employment in july. and let me go a bit further and brag: the med-ped resident is the 2010 resident of the year (voted by her peers!!). that girl has been workin' hard, focussing on her work, and loving those she meets each & every day!

so....three cheers for kgv!!!

Check this out! A soap opera-esque show filmed in an IKEA store. And the store does not know about it. I've only watched two episodes, but am hooked.

billy blanks' ultimate and ab bootcamp dvds kill me. they are really challenging.
BUT. i have done them so many times, i could do the routines in my sleep.
so i thought i'd ask all ya'll what your favorite workout dvd is and why.
because i don't know how much more i can take of billy. even though i do love him.

we should each win a million dollars for outwitting, outplaying and outlasting the winter of 2009-2010. or at least we should celebrate with breakfast! besides, two of our satellite members, ali and darci, are here on spring break. let us gather!

i've been preparing a little slideshow of my little leg-vein-removal & thought i'd share it with you. thanks for the calls/messages/mail. most of the recovery was sorta mental. being prohibited from regular activity is rather frustrating, but as you'll soon see, i'm much better off now and in no pain at all. phew.
