wanna read a lot of books with me?

okay so, as you might know, i'm taking my comprehensive exams in late september, and in order to be ready for those, i've made myself a reading schedule. some of the books i'll be reading are fun ones. some will probably only be interesting to me. but i've got the schedule set up through a gmail documents account. if you think you might be interested in reading selectively along with me and then maybe we can find ways to discuss a little, let me know. i'll email you the username and password. no pressure. but think about it..it'll be fun...we'll get all smart and junk.

hahaha. darby and daphne, you're so reasonable with your exceptions. good choices. it's a deal.

yeah, i'm not doing unbearable lightness of being, either. i hate that book. kundera can bite me.

I want to get smart and junk, too.

well, given the anti-kundera sentiment, you might be pleased to know he didn't even make the list. my authors are all american (love it or leave it!). nabokov became a citizen, so he makes the cut, but i think kundera was franco-czech. so he can bite us all! let's get smart and junk!

i'm in for smart junk too - as much as i can keep up. as slow as i read, i might end up more 'junk' than smart, haha. or maybe just smartass.

anyone wanna sign up FOR SURE for "catcher in the rye"? how about we pick a start date & then have a little message board for the few days/week that we're reading?!

i'd do that one. lemme know a start date (i'll be far away from a library til the 14th), and i'm in. my vacation goal will be to finish 'leaves of grass' so i can start CITR. :)
