Dyer Family Vacation
I think we're ready for our first family vacation. We're wanting to find a secluded-ish cabin with 1 or 2 bedrooms. We'd like to maybe kayak or canoe, bike ride, etc. with the kids. We've thought about Mahoney-- but it is SO busy. We're up to driving 5+ hours from here. Do any of you have a recommendations for me? Thanks guys.

is there a small Minnesotan lake or something along the Niobrara river? i've canoed up there before. it's pretty up there, but i don't remember how long it took.

Just an update (sorry we didn't wait, Caron)-- we got a cabin at Platte River State park. Thinkin' we'll do a day of hiking, a day of Mahoney fun and a day at the museum in Lincoln. Vacation Nebraska!
