calling all readers, road-trippers, and caron-missers! we had cooked up a little plan for a summer weekend get-together in iowa city, which is exactly halfway between caron and kate (springfield) and us (omaha). AND there's free lodging there (our apartment, which will be otherwise abandoned for the summer). AND there's good restaurants, green trees, free music, hot coffee, and a general air of midwestern coolness.
based on your comments, june was looking likely. what about leaving early evening on a friday, returning early evening on a sunday?

i am open to june, if it works for everyone else. july or august would be better just because i'll just be getting married but again, i'm open to what works for everyone.
How about the weekend of July 7th-9th? July 14th - 16th works as well.

how does august look for everyone? i think the one thing that might be risky is when darby/andrew need to have their place back...ie: might not be a summer pad in august anymore?
true. but between a bajillion girls 2 hotel rooms would be next to nothing. and then there might be a pool.
nothing like a book discussion while hot tubbing.
why don't we try for August 11-13. then people can read the book who might not have started and I agree wit Corrie... if Darby's place is no longer available... hot tub book discussion wouldn't be that expensive if we all shared a few rooms...
