DARN i'm glad its saturday. just real glad.
we had a wet, heavy snow yesterday, so even though its cloudy, its still kind of bright. ajw's working on a paper at the library and i'm puttering around. went to dick blick because they're having a paint and canvas sale, 70% off. and i've been planning to paint some more. so i bought four canvases and five or six tubes of cheap student paint. i'm going to paint something white, yellow, gold. we'll see what happens.
on another note. i'm making a mix for valentine's day. ali does christmas, i feel like doing valentine's day. this is going to be an optimistic valentine's day mix, with happy-ish songs, and i'd like to know if you have any suggestions. when i started looking for happy love songs, i realized how hard it is to find any that are actually happy. please post if you can think of any. you can have a copy of the mix if you do.

michael buble's cover of "how sweet it is" is fantastic! also, cyndi lauper's "time after time" is a love song that might not sound peppy but is in spirit. or how about justin timberlake's "like i love you" or "rock your body". ray lamontange's "i could hold you forever", beyonce's "crazy in love", oooh ohh..."remember the mountain bed" by billybragg/wilco. yea yea. or "someday some morning". that' s a good one by the same folks.
